If your hearing aids are not emitting sound, then it may be time to clean or replace your wax guards. The wax guard is the small white circular piece that goes on the end of the receiver: the side of the hearing aid that goes into your ear canal (this is not the soft silicone earbud, it is the hard white plastic piece
underneath it). If the wax guard becomes clogged with ear wax, the sound from the receiver inside of the
hearing aid will not be able to project into your ear.

We recommend that you start this process by turning off your device, removing the wax guard, and
cleaning it with an alcohol swab, as well as the hearing aid. In addition, you may use the small cleaning
brush to break up any hardened earwax on the wax guard or hearing aids. Do this over a table/desk to
make sure that you do not lose the small white wax guard.

Once you have cleaned this piece, you may reinsert it into the hearing aid and turn the hearing aid on,
making sure it is at the lowest volume setting. Slowly adjust the volume dial clockwise, in small
adjustments, until you reach your desired volume setting.
